RAJASTHAN – ADVENTURES IN THE FAR PAVILIONSIt had been 20 years since last I had visited Rajasthan but finally I answered the call of the Far Pavilions. First stop was Jodhpur also known as the Blue City for its many houses of this color. The spice market their is a full sensory experience. I had dreamed about riding camels in the Thar Desert and the experience was worth the wait. This is the home of the wild peacock. I had planned the trip to coincide with the Mewar Festival. In Udaipur the women of Rajasthan dress in their finest silk sari’s & jewelry and carry effigies of Shiva and Parvati to the shores of Lake Pichola. Here they dance and do puja in order to find a husband or keep their family safe and prosperous. Rajasthan is truly India at it’s best. Terms & Conditions | Privacy Policy | Ordering Info | ||
